Things that Make You Feel Good
This is a little cluster of grands beading together.
Spring was a bit slow to warm up, but we are getting a hot blast now.. I found myself still needing a Chai Latte on some of those 60 degree damp May mornings.
If our life here at Shiloh was a reality show I would have great compassion on the cinematographer trying to adjust to our sleeping patterns. They are sporadic to say the least. Middle of the night bathroom runs cause brains to be switched on and often not allow our bodies to go back to sleep. Awakening at 3:17AM I knew my husband had probably been up for at least an hour, so I beckoned him to come back to bed. Snuggling up next to me he said, "You are as warm as a baby just out of bed." When our baby grands are here we race to get them in the morning or from a nap, because they are so warm and nuzzle right into your neck. It feels so good!
Towels right out of the dryer are another cozy comfort. Our four year old grand was in our bed in just his underpants one day and I tossed a load of warm towels upon him. We may have started a cozy tradition. One of our sons and his wife wrapped their newborn daughter in a warm towel each night after bath time. What a life!
What makes you feel good? Maybe you long for a massage or just a good ole foot rub. The success of these indulgences relies on another person. Here's a feel good solution. Open God's Word, it never leaves you feeling void. You don't have to rely on the body of another as mention in Ecclesiastes.
If two lie together, they keep warm.
How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom. 2 Chronicles 9:7
Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights. Deuteronomy 33:29-30
God's Word makes us feel so, so good.
