Like a Vanishing Mist #3

You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.  James 1:14

There are times we think life is moving so slowly and the weight of the wait concerning what is to come seems like it drags on forever.  Then you get old, like me, and you realize how fast the pace really is.  Just as the morning mist burns off before you can look out the window again, life has vanished and hopefully we are on heaven's door step at the feet of Jesus.

I dropped a birthday gift off for a friend the other day and she said, "I'm so ready to go when Jesus calls!"

Monday night at 6:00, the international program called "Grief Share" began a 13 week series at our church.  My husband and I are attending. Fifteen people gathered to share of the unexpected ways they have lost a loved one.  People they loved dearly have vanished from earth, like the morning mist, and they are walking through indescribable grief.  There is healing in their tears and a comfort knowing they are not alone with the emotions they are trying to sort through.

We don't know what today or tomorrow holds, so we must rejoice in today and  keep our eyes on Jesus who guides our way towards the future.
