Into the Tunnel

When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away your ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.  Corrie ten Boom

We confidently get on boats, trains and airplanes. We step into elevators, carnival rides that have just come off the highway and been screwed together, and cars driven by teenagers (okay maybe only those of us helping family members with learners' licenses).

We consume food that we have no idea where it has come from or who has cooked it.  We allow doctors to cut our bodies open and inject meds into our bodies or prescribe by mouth medications with high risks.

Yet, we fail to trust our God, who created us and the entire universe, with our very own lives and all the unknowns that come with them.

"You are my strong shield, and I trust you completely. You have helped me, and I will celebrate and thank you in song." Psalm 28:7

"Your word is a lamp that gives light wherever I walk." Psalm 119:105
