Power of Words

Not the clearest photo as I was shaking trying to lift the camera to get this photo of an amazing catch by our grandson. Bottom right in orange helmet.

Last month my husband traveled to attend a  high school football game for our grandson's private school. It was an away game and a couple of the parent fan were loud and obnoxious, being very disrespectful to the refs, that my husband finally walked to the other side of the field,  and just stood to avoid these men for the remainder of the game.  He made a point afterwards to find one of the referees and say how embarrassed he was by the fans behavior.

On the flip side, I was allowing our grandson to play a sight word game on my phone. Each time this kindergartener completed a section a male voice would say an affirmations like, "Well, done!  Great job! You are amazing."  Each time, this little five year old would reply, "Thank you, sir!"

Proverbs 15:4

Kind words are good medicine, but deceitful words can really hurt.

Proverbs 18:21

Words can bring death or life! Talk too much, and you will eat  everything you say.
