Country Roads

September 10
Heading off to a substituting job yesterday I had to laugh at my life in the country. I took Dove Field Road, to Chestnut Hill, past Ball field Road, onto Doe Run and finally a left onto ....are you ready? Scuffling Hill Road! Somehow I don't picture many of those names fitting in on street signs in downtown NY.

There are titles which are not befitting of Christians...gossip, foul mouth, lover of pornography, liar, etc. When we come to Christ changes should occur in our lives.

My husband is Head Master at a Christian school and tells the students he wants to them be set apart; to be noticeably different from other students.

Paul spoke of this in Ephesians 4:22-24
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Let's Pray:
Father, You are clothed in majesty! Forgive us when we settle for rags and allow dirt to fill up our lives. Thank You for the cleansing power of Jesus and the refreshment He brings. May the signs of our lives be a reflection of Christ. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that our language, looks and overall lifestyles align themselves with how a Christian should live. In Jesus' Name, Amen
