Want to experience rejection with raw (often raunchy) emotion then watch the TV reality show called "The Bachelor." (The Bachelorette isn't quite as emotional.) It begins with 30 women and each week the main character, who is looking for a wife" rejects a woman and sends her packing.
This month of March Madness Kroger has an online basketball game. When you miss it says: "Sorry, you are not a winner."
The college rejection letter comes this time of year: "We only had 4,000 spots and we are sorry to inform you there were 4,000 people we see as better than you."
Putting ourselves out in the world we risk rejection every day. When we choose Jesus, he never rejects us. When we seek him as a Savior for our sins, admitting our need, we are never turned away.
Max Lucado writes: "Confession is a necessary part of our love relationship with God through Christ. We can't pretend with him to be someone we are not. He knows us through and through. Better yet, he loves us through and through. The act of confessing our sins to him ought to bring us closer to him-knowing we are deeply loved by the only One who can help us with our weaknesses."
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21
