Not Overlooked
January 18
This week on Godtube there were two stories that stirred my heart on the subject of how each person is precious in God's sight and never overlooked by God. We in our humanness, do look the other way at times when we encounter uncomfortable situations. The two young ladies in these stories are different from most teenagers. One has an in operable brain tumor and great limitations. The other has downs syndrome. The way "community" has reached out to these gals will fill your heart with joy.
After viewing these stories consider doing what I did and ask yourself, what are the situations I look away from. The people who are out of our comfort zone, may not just by looking different, but maybe you avoid them in the grocery store aisle because they talk too much. Could they be lonely? Maybe it is the young mother who is losing her cool. Could you offer to help? Maybe it's the creepy crawler in the gas line. Would you get out and pump for them and chat at the same time?
Today, I am heading up to our local drug store to take one of our daughter's harp CD's to a lady who works the register there. It probably took me 15 minutes in her line the other day, but I watched her patiently pour her love and interest into three elderly customers' lives. It was so beautiful, I actually told the lady in front of me to go ahead of me so could watch this woman some more. She genuinely cared about these lives and did not overlook the needs she saw in them.

Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Luke 12:7
