P is for Prayer

When He had sent them away, He departed to the mountains to pray.
Mark 6:46

Boo thought: Someone gave me a bookmark that says: "Think back...move forward....
God is Here....And will be there, wherever you go!"
Jesus may have sent the disciples away in Mark 6, but they were not anymore out of his sight than we are today. Verse 46 was the preface to the verse where Jesus walks on water to the disciples in the boat!
Bible stories allow us to think back, be encouraged by all that God did, and then move forward into where God is leading us. Fortunately, prayer affords us the same luxury.
Let's pray: God, you are the Perfect One, Promise Giver, Problem Solver, Preserver of our Souls, Prayer Partner and Our Portion. The pattern for our prayers was laid out by Christ when he walked on earth. May our prayer lives reflect times of fasting prayer, alone in the mountains or off in the garden prayer, intercessory prayer and corporate prayer. Praying without ceasing!
