Good Lord

May 19

What a strange, mixed up language we have.
We say we love pizza and we love our children.
We can "Good morning, Lord" or Good Lord, what a morning!"

We can say we are watching our dog,
while we also need to watch our tongues.

Proverbs 15:4
The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life,
but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.

Psalm 139:4
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.

Psalm 34:13
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.

Proverbs 21:23
He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.

We have such gracious guidelines for life right at our finger tips!
Praise the Lord He speaks our language! (Everyone's language.)
For those of us who are slow to learn, He has even equipped us with a
private tutor...the Holy Spirit!

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
James 3:17-18

Let's Pray: Good Lord, we love you and lift Your name on high
using our tongues to sing praise! Guide us today to be flower girls/guys of
life who are leaving a trail of petals that spell out peace, consideration,
submission, mercy, good fruit, impartiality and sincerity, bringing healing
to hurting souls...all possible through Jesus. In Jesus Name, Amen
