Happy Holy Week- Saturday
April 3-4
E-everlasting
A-affliction
S-suffering, sacrificial, Savior
T-transformation
E-excruciating
R- reigning, royal, ruler, who will return
Do we get "hung up" on the cross? Is that the only place we see Jesus? Now don't get me wrong...we needed that sacrifice in a major way, but while He said, "It is finished," he didn't mean his involvement in our lives.
As Christians, our story wouldn't be one of victory without the resurrection! There is reason to rejoice! (Ah, another "R" word.) Jesus is our royal ruler who will return to take His rightful reign. So in the meantime, what is to happen?
We are to be about His business in a big way!
He did what He did for us on the cross, in a MAJOR WAY. (Say that like Julia Roberts, said "Big Mistake" in Pretty Woman.) Beaten, ridiculed, humiliated, love hung Him there! When He looks at us does he see ready, reliable, relentless servants who are willing to endure persecution, pain, and often uncomfortable predicaments for His purpose?
As Believers, our lives are to be all about Jesus. If we believe He is who we profess Him to be and did what He did for us on that cross, rose again and is returning, then our lives should be radically different from others. Our marching orders should come from Him each day...we should also be very quick to pray...and excited to immerse ourselves in His Word in a big way!
Think how thrilled the women at the tomb and the disciples were when they realized Jesus had risen! It is that way for us when we experience the risen Lord!
What a Holy Holiday Easter is! Let's don't let this Easter celebration pass without putting ourselves in a place where we can hear from Him! The greatest gift we can give Him is our love and service and the icing on the cake is when we share our faith with one who does not know Him! Party!!!!
Alleluia, we love you Lord!!!
