The Bless Challenge

A sassy, fall, maple tree near the front door of Shiloh.

Do you enjoy passing along to others things that brighten a day and bring you joy? Here's one of those things for me.

The Bless Every Home App is an excellent tool that guides you in ways to pray for your neighbors.  When you put in your address, it sends you the names and addresses of your neighbors and allows you to customize how many days a week you want to receive a list and how many people you want to pray for.  Then on those days it sends you a fabulous prayer to pray.

Currently, they have added a new opportunity called "The 21 Day Challenge." This email includes a video and prayer to encourage you in the "loving your neighbors" process.

HA!  Being the neighbors of Shiloh can probably be a challenge. I'm hoping we have a neighbor doing this for us!  Add us on to your list!

Here are a couple examples.

Day 4

Verse

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.  Numbers 6:24-26

"Sometimes it's not easy to love our neighbors-but we love what Ron shared: God spoke this blessing over the Israelites even though He knew they'd make mistakes. He chose to bless them anyway.

Maybe you have a neighbor, coworker, or family member who's tough to love. Take a moment today to pray this verse over them. Ask God to bless them and fill them with peace."

Day 6

Our hope comes from God. May He fill you with joy and peace because of your trust in Him. May your hope grow stronger by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13

"Hope isn't something we create on our own—it comes from God. As Graham reminds us, no matter what we're facing, our hope is found in Him. When we trust God, He fills us with His joy and peace, reminding us that He's always at work, even when we can't see it.  Take a moment today to thank God for being your source of hope.  Then pray for your five names, asking the Holy Spirit to fill them with the same hope, joy, and peace that only He can give.

Pray: I want to lift up our neighbors, give us YOUR heart to love them Lord.
