Reach Them

Whether a bumblebee or a ballerina, all are precious in God's sight.

Christ has accepted you, so you must accept each other. In that way you will be praising God. Romans 15:7

Just as there are various denominations carrying the gospel to a lost world and architectural church designs from ornate to simplistic barns opening their doors as houses of worship, the music that brings praise to the Lord ranges from Gregorian chants to rap music.

I was taking a couple 8th grade girls to lunch after they had helped us set up for our Christmas Eve service. Handing one of them my phone I asked her to select some music to play over the car speakers.  Christian rap began to ring out!  Hmm, I may have given an eye roll, but then a smile crossed my face and I praised the Lord for Christian rap that is reaching young people today.

The majority of people at our church on Sunday morning are wearing jeans, yet you will see a couple men in their Sunday suits and a large number of little girls and women dressed to the nines. We can get so hung up on appearances when what we should see are the hearts of people who need the Lord.

When you hear these rap songs today, listen to the lyrics, not the beat.
