Remember

Remember-"be able to bring to one's mind an awareness of someone or something that has been known, seen or experienced in the past"

Whew!  Remembering what Jesus did for us on the cross is a show stopper that causes gratitude to spew out!

Remember what it is God has called you..."I am a child of God."

Reading the book of John is one of the best ways to grasp the Jesus story.  He reminds us here in chapter 1 what a privilege it is to be chosen to be a child of God.

"He came into his own world, but his own nation did not welcome him. Yet some people accepted him and put their faith in him. So he gave them the right to be the children of God. They were not God's children by nature or because of any human desires. God himself was the one who made them his children."  John 1:11-13

In chapter three Jesus is trying to explain to Nicodemus how you can be born again and become a
child of God.
"Humans give life to their children. Yet only God's Spirit can change you into a child of God."
John 3:6

Our daughter and son in law took us to dinner at a lovely restaurant in Charlottesville for Mother's Day.  As we were leaving and weaving out through the crowd, I whispered to our grandsons, "Remember we want people to recognize us as God's well behaved children, so let's walk out if this restaurant in that way."

Remember, Paul said- "All of you are God's children because of your faith in Christ."  Galatians 3:26

Also, remember...
1) God loves you unconditionally.  (Romans 8:38-39)
2) You are redeemed and have an eternal home. (John 3:16)
