Again and Again
God's Word never grows old. We can return to it again and again and find meaning and purpose for why God inspired those words to be written.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and or marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
In my email drafts, which I don't know that I have ever checked, were old sermon notes from 2020 when our church was studying the book of Acts. They are worth another nibbling and printing off to stick in my Bible as a reminder of how to live!
1) Don’t make it all about you. Paul served the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials.
2) Determine to influence your culture. Paul said, “I did not shrink from declaring anything that was profitable and teaching you in public and from house to house.”
3) Trust in the direction of God as He leads you. Pastor Stan asked, "Are you content without knowing the details of what God is calling you to do?"
4) Invest in the church. We should pour ourselves into the church because Jesus poured his blood out for us.
5) Live a generous life. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35
6) Trust in the power of prayer. “And when he (Paul) had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all. And there was much weeping on the part of all; they embraced Paul and kissed him, being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoke, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.” Acts 20:36-38
