Bless Every Home July 22

Neighbors gathered at our daughter's pool.

 The "Bless Every Home Prayer" for July 22 is too good not to share.

May we all pray this for ourselves and our families today.  May Your love be "evident in every interaction, and joy be the common language that binds us together."

"Be joyful always, pray without ceasing and in all things give thanks!"  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

God, I ask that You infuse our neighborhood with a spirit of love and joy, prompting us to cherish and care for one another. Let our community be a reflection of Your kingdom, where love and joy abound, and where each person is valued and celebrated. Use me as an instrument of Your joy, spreading positivity and light wherever I go. May my presence bring a sense of warmth and happiness, encouraging others to embrace the joy that comes from knowing You. Let our neighborhood be a place where Your love is evident in every interaction, and where joy is the common language that binds us together.

February 27 Bible Gateway's verse yesterday was: This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him . 1 John 4:9 A fitting verse for the day my everyday friend, soul sister, monster of the faith and mischievous partner in crime, Kaye, left this world behind and headed to her heavenly home. Fill Us Up

  In my early morning time with Jesus, he gave me a fun picture.  Out in front of the portico of our  church there was a huge gas pump and  off to the side an outlet for electric cars (got to love all people right?). The pump stood as a reminder that we come each Sunday to get filled up/charged up with wisdom and knowledge to face what is coming in the week ahead and equipped to make the necessary decisions that are ahead. Just like God sent manna daily so the people would rely on Him daily, we are to come to church weekly to worship, encourage one another and get filled up in our faith.  God will give us just what we need for that time, but we must return each week for God knows what we need next. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 44:3 . Toe Sucking

June 13 If I keep my eyes on God, I won't trip over my own feet. Psalm 25:12 …or allow them to be sucked off by carp!  For as long as I've been on this lake (49 years) we've gone to feed the carp at various marinas.   I have a bag of old bread waiting to be tossed to the carp tomorrow by our grandchildren!   There's a new adventure at a couple of the marinas.  Toe sucking!   For 25 cents you can buy a small scoop of peanut butter to go on your toes. Then the carp suck it off!   I just got a pedicure, so I have an excuse not to participate! What we do need to participate in is keeping our feet on the paths the Lord sets before us. Give careful though to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Proverbs 4:26
