From Darkness to Dawn

BEElieve in the Lord Jesus!  It makes life so much more beautiful.

"... if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

The text came..."I am in a really dark place.  Would you meet me and pray over me?" I found a small flashlight, a lantern and a candle as examples of how light overcomes darkness.  But then among them placed the most powerful tool for overcoming spiritual darkness ...a printed on a piece of paper with these verses.

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.  Isaiah 9:2

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. Colossians 1:13

I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. John 12:46

...for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light. Ephesians 5:8

February 27 Bible Gateway's verse yesterday was: This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him . 1 John 4:9 A fitting verse for the day my everyday friend, soul sister, monster of the faith and mischievous partner in crime, Kaye, left this world behind and headed to her heavenly home. Fill Us Up

  In my early morning time with Jesus, he gave me a fun picture.  Out in front of the portico of our  church there was a huge gas pump and  off to the side an outlet for electric cars (got to love all people right?). The pump stood as a reminder that we come each Sunday to get filled up/charged up with wisdom and knowledge to face what is coming in the week ahead and equipped to make the necessary decisions that are ahead. Just like God sent manna daily so the people would rely on Him daily, we are to come to church weekly to worship, encourage one another and get filled up in our faith.  God will give us just what we need for that time, but we must return each week for God knows what we need next. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 44:3 . Toe Sucking

June 13 If I keep my eyes on God, I won't trip over my own feet. Psalm 25:12 …or allow them to be sucked off by carp!  For as long as I've been on this lake (49 years) we've gone to feed the carp at various marinas.   I have a bag of old bread waiting to be tossed to the carp tomorrow by our grandchildren!   There's a new adventure at a couple of the marinas.  Toe sucking!   For 25 cents you can buy a small scoop of peanut butter to go on your toes. Then the carp suck it off!   I just got a pedicure, so I have an excuse not to participate! What we do need to participate in is keeping our feet on the paths the Lord sets before us. Give careful though to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Proverbs 4:26
