Get Lost With Jesus

Beside different still waters.

...and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left. your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying "This is the way. Walk in it."  Isaiah 30:21

If you are going to get lost, prayerfully it will be with someone you enjoy. Recently, while visiting another city, my husband and I embarked on an early morning walk. The host of the home where we were staying recommended a route. We took a screen shot of the route, it seemed fairly simple.

Chatting away, we unknowingly walked a mile past the turn off to the beautiful water view we'd been told we would see.  When we came to a very busy street I said, "Something isn't right." Fortunately, we had no morning agenda. The only issue became my knees tiring out.

My comedic husband turned the debacle into a hilarious routine about a missing elderly couple.  We passed three men walking their dogs, but he would not let me ask for directions.  He did note that they all had plastic baggies to clean up after their dogs and we may be wishing he had one for us.

Most of all the mailboxes in the neighborhood had American flags by their mailboxes. One of his lines was "Couple is arrest for stealing flags... investigators learn they were lost and were using the flags to flag down cars for help."

At one point when we stood at an intersection unable to determine which way to go, I looked down and saw a green arrow spray painted on the pavement. I said, "I think this is a sign!!!!"

A school bus went by and I remember that a school bus passed out host's home, so I said, "Let's follow that bus," but it turned and was gone from view in 1 block.

Lacking encouragement, at one point my husband said, "Do you think we could be walking in circles?"  UGH.

I had texted our hostess saying we appeared to be lost, but were having a great time, so not to worry.

The first half mile of the walk we encounter the "B" bush pictured above. There was rejoicing when we came back upon this.  Lumbering along the last half mile I said to my husband, "If we have to be lost, it's good to be with someone you enjoy!"

Take time today to get lost with Jesus.

The following morning I opened "356 Days of Promises" and the catch phrase was...
"Have you ever come to a fork in the road and wondered which path to take?"

God is watching and He speaks!

When sharing this story with one of our sons he said, "You need to learn to use Goggle maps."  I said, "You don't have to be in a car to utilize that?" Nope!
