To Be...in temporary dwellings.

We had fun setting up a temporary dwelling place for a couple of our grandsons,
while their new home is being built.
"He who dwells in the Shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"
Psalm 91:1-2
January 10
In whom or what do we put our trust?  I was blessed to live in the same amazing house my entire childhood. Then after marrying, we brought all six of our children home from the hospital to the same house we lived in for twenty-five years. It's hard to believe this is our 20th year at Shiloh.

Our daughter was in Nashville for 20 years and her family has just moved to Charlottesville. Temporarily they are in an apartment, but fortunately it is in the children's school district, so they won't have to change schools when the new house is built. Change is scary though.

The school the first grader is attending is a Spanish Immersion school and we were on pins and needles (not really, actually on our knees praying) for they had been told the first day of school, January 3rd, he would start the morning in the Spanish speaking classroom.  It sounded awful to me. New city, new apartment, new school, new teacher, new students and a new LANGUAGE!  God went before them though and showed off how amazing He is!  Not only did he get to start the day in the English speaking class, his teacher attends the church they had visited and plays the keyboard in the worship band!  Instant Jesus connection!
Yep, that's the God we serve.
He's with us wherever we are dwelling!  He is our dwelling place!

"God's a safe house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. The moment you arrive, you relax; you're  never sorry you knocked."   Psalm 9:10 MSG

"God affirmers find themselves loved every time they turn around.  Celebrate God, Sing together-everyone!  All you honest hearts raise the roof!"  Psalm 32:10-11
