What Are You Waiting Upon?

Our daughter in law sent this precious photo of her daughter waiting for                     muffins to come out of the oven.

What are you waiting upon?

We are waiting for our family to arrive for our annual first week of July gathering.

Two of our sons are waiting to be able to move into their new homes this week and next.

Another daughter in law has to only wait one more month for her baby to come.

Our daughter and son in law are waiting for their new swimming pool to be done.

A friend is waiting for the horrific pain of grief from the death of her child to subside.

I'm waiting on a miracle healing of my knee and being able to avoid surgery.

Way too many friends wait for results from medical scans.

Those battling addiction wait to see if they will make it through another day.

Many family members wait for their loved ones to return from deployment.

Life is full of the weight of the wait.

God's Word directs our minds to different thoughts about waiting

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!  Psalm 27:14

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.  Romans 8:25

Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13

But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13

One day the process of waiting will be over. We will be with the Lord and nothing else will matter.
