A Grand Plan

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Colossians 3:15

"The peace of God should act as a guide when it comes to knowing the will of God."
John Hull

The mist was so thick on the lake the past two mornings that kayaking was not an option. My husband headed out on our acreage to blow the scripture trails and ended up spending the afternoon with a chain saw cutting up a large tree, which had fallen blocking the trail.

Life dishes out road blocks in all shapes and forms. Our dream house gets sold before we can purchase it, the college of our dreams rejects us, the baby we dream of does not come, the company we work for lays off half its' work force, the one we've loved leaves us via death or divorce, and where we thought we were going, the plan we had designed for our life, is blocked.

Sometimes hurdles, detours and roadblocks are God's way of redirecting and guiding us towards the path He has for us. How quickly we forget He created us with a purpose and it is a grand plan! If we love Him we will want his will for our ways!

Don Moen wrote a song with these lyrics based on Proverbs 3:6
"In all thy ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct thy paths."
God will make a way Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see He will make a way for me
He will be my guide Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength For each new day
He will make a way He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness He'll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see Heaven and earth will fade
But His Word will still remain
He will do something new today
