God's Thoughts

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is their sum! 
If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. 
When I wake up, I am still with you.

Call me crazy or the equivalent, call me Mama Boo, but every morning when I awakened I open my weather app to check the the weather in the places of residence of our children and consider what they are facing weather wise.


Our Utah son was thrilled by their first snowfall yesterday, while our Minnesota son called saying the kids were excited to jump in their pool with friends after school as the temps topped out at 87.

If you have children you know they are forever on our minds and we wish we could make life easy for them. Only God is knows which are sunny days and which hold storms for all of his creations. He also knows every beat of their hearts and the thoughts on their minds.  I've said before that I have no clue why He created such a system to have all this on his heart, but He is the Almighty and beyond what we can comprehend. How blessed we are that He is our God.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.  Isaiah 55:8-9

Let's stop and simply say, We love your Father. Thank You for holding onto today.

Fill Us Up

  In my early morning time with Jesus, he gave me a fun picture.  Out in front of the portico of our  church there was a huge gas pump and  off to the side an outlet for electric cars (got to love all people right?). The pump stood as a reminder that we come each Sunday to get filled up/charged up with wisdom and knowledge to face what is coming in the week ahead and equipped to make the necessary decisions that are ahead. Just like God sent manna daily so the people would rely on Him daily, we are to come to church weekly to worship, encourage one another and get filled up in our faith.  God will give us just what we need for that time, but we must return each week for God knows what we need next. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 44:3 . Toe Sucking

June 13 If I keep my eyes on God, I won't trip over my own feet. Psalm 25:12 …or allow them to be sucked off by carp!  For as long as I've been on this lake (49 years) we've gone to feed the carp at various marinas.   I have a bag of old bread waiting to be tossed to the carp tomorrow by our grandchildren!   There's a new adventure at a couple of the marinas.  Toe sucking!   For 25 cents you can buy a small scoop of peanut butter to go on your toes. Then the carp suck it off!   I just got a pedicure, so I have an excuse not to participate! What we do need to participate in is keeping our feet on the paths the Lord sets before us. Give careful though to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Proverbs 4:26
