What Makes You Rejoice
What makes you jump out of your seat and rejoice?
Who have you cheered on recently?
It's football season the Andrews family enjoys a good football game. Gone are the days of making our way into a stadium and jumping up and down and screaming with a throng of people, as we have found it much more enjoyable to watch on TV. Now, with a grandson playing high school ball, we find ourselves driving much further than we did for our college teams to cheer this young man's team on. There is something exhilarating about being with a like minded crowd, in a sports stadium/arena that's not the case, but at a Christian concert there is synergy.
One Sunday our final worship song was "King of Kings." I found myself lifting my hands each time we sang "Praise the Father, praise the Son and praise the Spirit three in one" and then applauding the Lord as verse after verse rang out the truths of what our King of kings has done.
Watching the video below, with chill bumps running up and down my body, I thought this vision is infinitesimal compared to what singing with the angel choirs in heaven will be.
“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6
