Preparation

December 11

Preparation: the action or process of making something ready for use or service or of getting ready for some occasion, test, or duty.

Oh, yes, this is the preparation season, full of Christmas action.
Thinking of the word preparation in relationship to God's purpose for us is a real heart stirrer. As we place our lives on His altar today in surrenderance to Him, we prepare ourselves for the use, the service, the specific occasion,or the possible test which awaits us. Awake with confirmation, praying to be prepared for the privileged duty we are called to as Children of the Living God!

Here we are Lord, send us!

Shell Shocked...I googled the word "surrenderance" and the first articles which came up were related to "yoga', "guru", "Hafiz", "the Meher Baba's Oneness in the World", "Tara Meditation", and a You Tube of Obama related to a great Hindu American.

Clicking back to my concordance there was no verse calling us to surrenderance in the Bible. Elation is filling my soul right now for that is what is so different about the Christian faith. There is such "freedom in Christ" that we don't have to be called to surrender...we want to follow!
Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

We aren't bound up by bombs strapped to our chests, or weighted down by requirements which prepare us for the hereafter. We know we are not "good enough" so we receive the "free gift" which is the key to freedom here on earth and eternal life in heaven.

When we share our faith with others may we be prepared to show the difference!
Share the joy that comes from serving Christ and all which from which we are released.
