"Your love is faithful, Lord, and even the clouds in the sky can depend on you."
Psalm 36:5

"Your love reaches higher than the heavens, and your loyalty extends beyond the clouds."
Psalm 108:4

Continued thoughts from yesterday...
The steroids I've been asked to take have me unable to sleep, so I was looking at the clouds trying to relax. One of our sons said, "Did they legalize weed in Moneta?"  No!  But God can paint some amazing pictures in the clouds.

What a day Sunday was. In our pastor's sermon on asking God the big question "Why?" he challenged us as a congregation to sit in silence and ask God to speak.  The first phrase he gave me was "Take me."  I thought, "Like home to heaven Lord, knowing I hadn't been feeling well."  Then the thoughts to progressed to "Take me to wherever you are calling me to go next."

The week before he had preached that the saying "God will never give you more than you can handle" is a lie.  Everything in life is more than we are expected to handle.  We are to rely on God.

"For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of ilife itself.  Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves, but on God who raises the dead."

Pastor Stan said, "God sometimes allows situations in your life to appear hopeless because He is trying to direct your focus onto Him.  He is with you.  We don't need an explanation. We need the Presence of God. We see only part of the picture. In real life problems are not solved quickly."

"O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?"  Habakuk 1:2

Here is how our Sunday unfolded. Most of you know we have an some "extras" in our lives.  Mason Rudolph has been coming here since birth.  Last week he won the back up quarter back position for the Pittsburg Steelers. The starter got hurt and is out for the season and now Mason is their man. Exiting, nerve wracking for me, but another reminder life can change in a blink.

Then we got the call that Deke's mother was in distress an had to go to Roanoke, where a fire broke out in the neighborhood and the power went out, just as a nurse was arriving to set up hospice.  I think back on that whole scenario and how gracious God was. While there one son called and said, "We bought a house!"  And I'm wondering why my head is a mess.  LOL

There's not a cloud in the sky today.  It's supposed to get to 92.

Here's a big cloud thought!  He will take those who love Him up!

"Look! He is coming with the clouds.  Everyone will see him, even the ones who stuck a
sword through him. All people on earth will weep because of him.  Yes, it will happen!  Amen."
Revelations 1:7
