Intentional Marriage Tactics

Our younger days having a candlelight dinner alone.

Thinking back to the marriage series, I was pondering what the Bible says about this unity. It is spoken of as a covenant to which God is witness.  The bride and groom are joined together, becoming one flesh by God and no one is to break what God has joined together.

In Genesis 2:18 the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make a helper fit for him."

So, marriage is about a coming together in companionship, helpfulness, and friendship. This union is intended to last a lifetime.

For those of us who are married we should work, play and pray to that end.  All of us should pray for and encourage married couples to stay close to the Lord, read His Word daily, pray together, respect one another, forgive quickly, appreciate one another, dance in their kitchens and kiss everyday!

The Verse

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.         1 Peter 4:8
