I Don't Want to Miss Anything

These two are "sacked" out and rested up for more fun at Shiloh.

It's been a wonderful summer filled with memory making with our grands. At some point, when asked to keep grandchildren for overnights all the parents have shared what good sleepers they are.  LOL. More often than not we have early risers.  Like 5-6AM early risers.

One of our grandsons heard me chuckling when the grands were talking among themselves about how late they sleep. When I laughed this sweet 9 year old said, "Well, except when we are here. We get up so early because we are afraid if we sleep in we might miss something. There is always something fun going on." That makes sense.

Actually, this particular child and I had discusses why we thought God made us to need to sleep, eat, and use the bathroom.  He inquired if those things would be necessary in heaven.  My guess is sleep may not be necessary, we know heaven will always be light.  But, like the grands, we will not want to sleep because we will not want to miss any of the exciting things going on in heaven.

There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. Revelation 22:5
