New Beginnings

A big batch of the grands started back to school this week.
Another school year with new teachers, friends, classes and challenges to uncover.

"God of mercy, do what only You can do and make all things new."
Big Daddy Weave

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. '” Revelation 21:5

Trustworthy and true...those are the words that stopped me in my tracks this morning and took me to my knees.  The prayer for ALL school children was that they would be taught from a Biblical perspective how to measure who is trustworthy and what is true.  Our beliefs have to be grounded in/on something and the Bible is the best measuring stick I know of.

The next word that came to me was deception.
When I went to search for a Bible verse on deception Gotquestions.com took me to the long list at the end of this devotional.  I selected Romans 12:2 to meditate on today and pray for our grandchildren.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Father, You are The Truth. May our grandchildren not be conformed to this world, but surrounded by believers who invest in their lives by teaching and praying they would be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the power of the Holy Spirit and Holy Scriptures.  Through this implantation help them be able to discern Your good, acceptable and perfect will for their lives.  In Jesus' name. Amen
