Climbing Mountains

"Let's go on an adventure," the older brother said to the younger.
November 6
Life is full of hurdles to cross and mountains to climb. God's Word tells us to expect challenges and trials and recognize they have benefits.

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."  James 1:2-4

"My desire is that you learn to trust Me in all circumstances."  Sarah Young

Awakening for my middle of the night time with Jesus, I began praying over an overwhelming list of needs.  As I was praying a song from way back when, came to mind.  The lyrics were quite fitting.

Song Lyrics for "People Need the Lord"
"Everyday they pass me by, I can see it in their eyes.
Empty people filled with care, headed who knows where?
On they go through private pain, living fear to fear.
Laughter hides their silent cries, only Jesus hears.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
At the end of broken dreams, people need the Lord.
When will we realize people need the Lord?
We are called to take His light to a world where wrong seems right.
What would be too great  cost for sharing with one who's lost?
Through His love our hearts can feel all the grief they bear.
They must hear the words of life only we can share.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord at the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.
People need the Lord, people need the Lord.
When will we realize that we must give our lives, for people need the Lord.
 People need the Lord.

November Gratitude
"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6-7

Revive Our Hearts Challenges Us...
"In this passage we’re told to abound in thanksgiving.
Do you want to have joy? Do you want to cultivate a thankful heart? Start with the gospel.           Think often about your Savior. Camp in Scripture passages about the gospel.
Let gospel truth seep into your soul so deeply that you can’t go a single day without praising the Lord for what He’s done."
Then... let's pass the gospel on!
