Collisions in Life

Oh how the grands love to drive their Papa's tractor.

After the stroke one of the brain games I did was a race care motif.  There were three lanes with other racers and obstacles that continually popped up.  Using the arrow keys on the computer my task was to avoid collisions.

There will be collisions in life!  Sarah Young wrote: "Your life with Me (Jesus) is an adventure, and there are always some dangers involved in adventurous journeys....Expect these difficulties each day, and don't let them throw you off course."  What fabulous advice.

In winter we expect snowstorms, in the summer we try to protect ourselves from extreme heat and sunburn.  Everyday, if we walk with Jesus and expect obstacles to appear we can confront them better  through his strength and wisdom.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 MSG is titled "The Rescue"

"All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy!
God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before
you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be
there for that person just as God was there for us.  We have plenty of hard times that come from
following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort-
we get a full measure of that too."

Who do you need to collide with today and offer up a compassionate "I've been where you are" heart?
One of our daughter-in-laws texted to say her sweet Grandpa was found dead in his home yesterday.  Evidently, he never awakened from his nap.  What a blessed way to go. My heart aches for this family though for I know what it is like to lose a loved one and not be able to have your family fly in and begin the grieving process together.  I know God is placing each of you in someone's path who needs encouragement or a listening ear.

Today's Coloring Page Promise of God
"For this reason we do not lose heart: Even though our outward man is perishing, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day. Our light affliction, which lasts but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.  For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."  2 Corinthians 4:16-18
