The Open Door

March 31

Traveling yesterday to visit a friend who lives way up in the mountains
was a blessing because I knew when I arrives at her home it was fine to
just walk in the door! I love those kinds of friends who make you feel
so at home... the door is always open to you!
Jesus is such a friend, well ok, He asks us to knock first!
Matthew 7:7-9
Ask, Seek, Knock
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone
who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks,
the door will be opened.

He does welcome our presence. Check out this song:
Come into His presence with thanksgiving in your heart,
give Him praise, give Him praise.

Come into His presence with thanksgiving in your heart,
your voices raised, your voices raised.
Give Him glory, honor, and power unto Him,oh,Jesus name above all names.

Kneeling to pray for several friends with large prayer requests
the Lord placed on my heart the phrase "Open Door". Hmm, I pondered...
does that mean heaven is waiting with doors open for some of these people
to scurry in or are there situations where the message of the gospel needs
to be taken into an open door?

Colossians 4:3
And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message,
so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

Let's Pray: Father You are the Open Door! Oh, that we
might come into Your presence with thanksgiving in our hearts today
and give You the praise You deserve. We pray for _________________
who needs to open the door of his/her heart today and let Jesus come in!
In Our Savior's Name, Amen
