A Hindrance

Oct. 13
Week 4 Day 4 When God Speaks

God may be refusing to hear your prayers
because of the conditions of your life. Yikes!

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear!
Isaiah 1:15

"Couples committing adultery pray and ask God to bless
their relationships! Employees mistreat their employees
and ask God to bless their businesses! People act
selfishly and yet ask God to bless them! Could your
prayers be unanswered because after one attempt
at reconciliation you assumed the problem was now
the other person's and you began to try to relate to
God as if everything was now all right?" Blackaby

Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and
there remember that your brother has something
against you, leave your gift there before the altar,
and go your way. Be first reconciled to your
brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Matthew 5:23-24

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them (wives) with
understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the
weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the
grace of life, that your prayers may not be
hindered. 1 Peter 3:7

Ok, everyone is saying..."Ah, thanks so much for
writing Boo." Well, let me tell you, He has kicked
me in the "Bootie" and I have some repenting &
restoring to do. Whew doggies, our whole nation
does. We need repentance and revival in this land.
We are seeing the repercussions for what we have
not sown! A love for Jesus in this country. There is
great harvest out there and it is as if we have been
warned of a damaging frost hitting immediately and
all the workers need to pull together and get to
work. If there are hindrances in our way, keeping
us from getting God's work done, we need to get
rid of them now.
The biggest hindrance comes in thinking life
is all about us.
My husband and I have the day off from school
today and plan to spend it seeking the Lord believing
Jer. 33:3.

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you
great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Let's Pray: Father on this Columbus Day, may we
make a discovery of our own...how magnificent
You really are for starters! Above all the other
calls we plan to make today may the one we make
to You be our top priority. If after listening to You,
you tell us to go and tell...find us obedient to do that.
If you counsel us to go and clean up an area of our
life, may we be quick to respond. We join together
crying out for our nation that is so sick and in need
of a miracle healing! Praise You, that is the
business You are in! With sincere and contrite
hearts we humble before you and say thank You
for the hope that comes from the resurrection of
Your Son. In whose name we pray, Amen
