May No One Doubt

October 25th
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God,
who gives generously to all without finding fault,
and it will be give to him. But when he asks, he
must believe and not doubt, because he who
doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and
tossed by the wind. That man should not
think he will receive anything from the Lord;
he is a double minded man, unstable in all he
does. James 1:5-8

Doubt:to lack confidence in. (Merriam-Webster)
Double-minded- to be unstable and lack conviction
in one's beliefs; to change loyalties or ideas. A person full
of hypocrisy; one who uses truth and lies in whatever
situation to benefit themselves in one way.

The disciples were right there hanging out with
Jesus and they experienced doubt at times.
In the last month have you worried about
finances or your health?
Does Jesus bash us when we waiver and say
we have no faith? Nope, he is gentle and says,
"Oh, you of little faith."
We need to remember Hebrews 4:14-16
Therefore, since we have a great high priest
who has gone through the heavens. Jesus, the
Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we
profess. For we do not have a high priest who
is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but we have one who has been tempted in every
way, just as we are-yet without sin. Let us then
approach the throne of grace with confidence,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace to
help us in our time of need.
Let's breathe, believing in the one who gave us
breath!
This was my wake up song this morning!
What a Great Hymn!
Rise up O men of God, Have done with lesser things.
Give heart and soul and mind and strength,
To serve the King of Kings, To serve the King of Kings.
Rise up O men of God, His Kingdom tarries long,
Bring in the day of brotherhood, And end the night of wrong,
And end the night of wrong. Rise up O men of God,
The Church for you doth wait.
Send forth to serve the needs of men
In Christ our strength is great, In Christ our strength is great.
Lift high the Cross of Christ, Tread where His feet have trod,
As brothers of the Son of Man,
Rise up O men of God, Rise up O men of God.

Let's Pray: Oh Father, what holy character you have!
You did raise up Your Son for us, so spur us on to rise up
to the occasions You place before us and serve You with
a single minded focus on Christ. Christ, the pure and righteous
one, who shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sins.
We do ask for wisdom and faith to flow into our lives
strengthening and encouraging us and then give us
convictions that have us stepping out in faith sharing what
we know as true in our lives with others. In Jesus Name, Amen
